The development of global scientific knowledge demands high-quality scientific text translation skills to support the dissemination of knowledge across languages. Students, as future academics, need to be equipped with adequate scientific translation competencies. This community service activity aims to improve students’ abilities in translating scientific texts through structured training. The implementation method consists of three stages: (1) preparation, involving needs analysis and material development; (2) conducting training over 8 sessions covering both theory and translation practice; and (3) evaluation and post-training monitoring. Participants consisted of 40 students from various study programs. The training results showed a significant increase in all aspects of competence, with an average improvement of 27.2%. The average pre-test score of 56.3 rose to 83.5 in the post-test. The editing and revision aspect showed the highest improvement (30.1%), followed by terminology (29.7%) and translation techniques (28.5%). Participant satisfaction reached 4.5 out of a scale of 5. The quality of the translation results increased from a score of 58.8 to 85.2. Post-training monitoring over three months showed that 85% of participants applied the skills in academic activities. This program contributes significantly to strengthening the scientific translation ecosystem and supports the internationalization of higher education.
